So today's my birthday, and you're not here. My first birthday without you. You were there since the very start, the moment I was born. I grew up with you, my grandma, my idol. That's probably why I'm finding it still so hard to deal with. I had a relationship with you like no other. Though I try not to show it of course, it's impossible. I don't want to talk about it, not to upset anyone else but inside i just want to scream. The thing I'm probably missing most is your amazing advice, that sound of your voice was comfort. Our conversations are ones I will never forget, that's for sure.  If you only  knew how much you're missed. I love you x

My darling aunty Irene, you were my guiding light and made me feel so secure and safe in this world and now that light has gone out. I miss you dearly and think of you daily. My children adored you; you were a major part of our lives and your departure has left a massive void in our lives. You were a very special lady and we were so fortunate to have you in our lives. I felt you were indestructable;I cannot comprehend how you could have left us so suddenly with no chance to say goodbye. I feel your spirit is with me still and may God take care of you until we meet again. Miss you so much! Julie

I can’t even begin to accept, When I found out I just cried and wept. I don’t understand why it had to be you, And how I can even begin to pull through. I thought you were invincible, I thought you were strong, I just hoped I wouldn’t be proven wrong. On that day, I couldn’t believe, I felt broken, like a part of me had gone, And I wondered how I was supposed to carry on. Things will never be the same without you, Why did you have to leave us so out of the blue? And although you left me feeling so low, I know that it was your time to go. You are with Him now, safe and pain free, But I will love you forever, I guarantee. For you will never die, but live on in my heart, So it’s goodbye for now, until the day I depart.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
